Taking on the challenge of the 14 Å (Angstrom) era
Taking on the challenge of the 14-angstrom era to further evolve semiconductors and realize life in the future
Lives in the future, changed by semiconductors

What will our lives be like in 10 or 20 years?
The possibilities are endless. Imagine countless sensors, cameras, and smartphones connected by leading-edge communication standards or smart cities where AI, IoT, and autonomous driving technologies are commonly used and virtual spaces in the metaverse. Our future lives are about to change, with increased convenience as technology advances. Semiconductors will play a key role in this change.
The performance of semiconductors has been improved dramatically, and since their creation in the 1960s, wiring widths have been reduced to approximately 1/10,000th of their original width. The area that once housed a single transistor is now packed with more than 10,000 transistors, and semiconductors that once had only a few layers are now stacked in hundreds of layers like skyscrapers. The width of the wiring that makes up semiconductors is now entering into the A (angstrom) era beyond the conventional nm (nanometer) scale.
We will continue to pursue cutting-edge development in order to facilitate this ever-evolving change. In order to achieve precise and high-density integration of semiconductors, it is necessary to create reactions in an environment with virtually no impurities and to polish the wafer surface to an infinitely flat surface. Our products, including dry vacuum pumps and CMP systems play a role in this process.
Meeting customer demands and exceeding expectations

Our strength lies in the technical capabilities we have cultivated across the entire value chain from development, production and servicing to support. Leveraging the rotary, fluid, engineering, and control technologies we have cultivated since our foundation in the component business, we are developing dry vacuum pumps and exhaust abatement systems and offering exhaust system solution services that combine these technologies. In the CMP business, we utilize these technologies to improve polishing and cleaning technologies to meet the demands of cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing. In production technology, we are improving and automating production processes using IoT to achieve both high quality and productivity. In terms of service and support, we are addressing technological development that can adapt to product overhauls and upgrades in order to support our customers’ production systems 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our challenge to create a prosperous life in the future
Challenges to achieve an affluent future lifestyle A more convenient life in the future will require higher performance and larger volumes of semiconductors than ever before. To achieve this, we will continue to strengthen our development and production capabilities. Although we do not make products for daily life, we continue to take on great challenges in the semiconductor manufacturing process that will support a more convenient way of life in the future.
