The credit rating of EBARA CORPORATION (“EBARA”) assigned by Rating and Investment Information, Inc. (R&I) was raised today from “BBB+” to “A-” as set forth below. The rating trend is “stable.” In addition, the rating of EBARA’s commercial papers was raised from “a-2” to “a-1.”

Rating of the issuer: “BBB+/stable” → “A-/stable”
Rating of commercial papers: “a-2” → “a-1”
