Data in Climate Change section has been reaggregated in line with the GHG Protocol. The following data has been changed: Electricity consumption (from 2018/12), Production of renewable energy (from 2020/12), Amount of renewable energy used (from 2020/12), Ratio of renewable energy used (from 2020/12), fuel consumption - petroleum conversion (from 2018/12).
- *
Scope 1&2 GHG emissions: Calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol; Revised the scope of emission sources to be included in the calculation, and included group companies that were previously not included in the calculation retroactively to the base year (2018).
- *
Scope 1,2 GHG emissions: Emissions: We have obtained third party verification of our greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064-3. The scope of the verification covers energy-derived CO2 and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) emissions from Scope 1 & 2.
- *
Scope 3 GHG emissions: We began our calculations in 2021.

- Proportion of employees with union membership: The EBARA Group upholds the freedom of association and respects the right to collective bargaining. The calculation of membership ratio was revised in March 2020 to more accurately reflect our union membership. Previously, management-level employees were included in the denominator. However, management-level employees are not applicable for union membership, in accordance with Japanese labor laws, and so we revised the past data to fit the correct equation, using the number of all applicable employees (i.e., total non-management employees) as the denominator.
