The Environmental Solutions Company is involved in the construction and operation of waste treatment facilities in our role as plant operator. We manage and operate more than 80 waste treatment facilities nationwide, establishing us as one of the top facility operators in the industry. While other companies in the EBARA Group contribute to the advancement of industry, the Environmental Solutions Company plays a role in maintaining and upgrading local social infrastructure through the hygienic treatment of waste that is essential to our lives. Mankind is now facing the significant challenge of global warming. We believe that one solution is to rethink the way we treat waste, that is, "Change the thinking on disposal." Our lives are inseparable from the production, treatment, and disposal of waste. Our business can be said to balance human life on earth with a world with less environmental impact.
That is why we must change the future beyond disposal. Since the early 2000s, the Environmental Solutions Company has been developing recycling technologies to recycle waste into other materials instead of disposing of it. Our current shift from waste to resources has been gaining momentum and there are now indications of public-private partnerships toward the social implementation of this technology.
By combining the advancement of waste treatment with recycling, we can protect clean water, clean air, blue skies, and green forests and change the world today in which people compete for resources. We will continue to take on this challenge.
