Energy supply and realization of a decarbonized society

Achieving both stable energy supply and carbon neutrality

Natural gas and LNG serve as energy sources to generate the electricity we use on a daily basis. They impose relatively low environmental loads due to less generation of GHG during combustion, playing an important role in the transition to a decarbonized society. A variety of equipment is used in the process of transporting and producing these energy sources. EBARA products also play an active role in many situations. For example, we deliver refrigerant compressors used in LNG production plants all around the world. Our cryogenic pumps and expanders* used to transfer LNG, which is difficult to handle due to its combustibility at extremely low-temperatures, meet a market need because they can handle liquids at temperatures as low as -195.6°C thanks to our high quality and technological capabilities.
EBARA's cryogenic pumps have steadily increased in production for more than 40 years and boast top market share, gaining worldwide recognition. We also hold a 100% market share in expanders for LNG plants. Another recent focus of ours is CO2 injection pumps, which are used in the process of efficiently recovering crude oil by injecting carbon dioxide recovered from factories into injection oil wells (wells that produce crude oil) and are expected to be used as technologies for carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS). Through the provision of these products, we aim to achieve a stable supply of energy and a carbon-neutral society.
