API pump packages for large PP and PDH plants (Saudi Arabia)

Polypropylene (PP) is a versatile resin that is lightweight but also has high strength, heat resistance, and processability. Due to its characteristics, it is widely used in various applications, including industrial parts for films and automobiles, and home appliances, and other general products. More than 50 years after the successful synthesis of polypropylene in 1954, its global demand is expected to grow at the highest rate among general-purpose resins. This polypropylene market is supported by significant improvements and simplifications in manufacturing processes achieved as a result of breakthroughs in catalytic performance.


In a major project to construct a polypropylene production plant in Jubail, an industrial city in Saudi Arabia, we have received orders for a total of 67 pump packages that meet API* (American Petroleum Institute) standards. These API pump packages are used in the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) process and plant utilities* (utilities & offsite: UTOS) for the production of polypropylene. We obtained these orders in recognition of our strong reputation for extensive product delivery to petrochemical plants in Saudi Arabia and comprehensive after-sales service framework at our business base in Saudi Arabia (EBARA PUMPS SAUDI ARABIA LLC).
