Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of mechanism is the gas ballast?
It serves to prevent water vapor and condensable gas from liquefying during the pumping process. Opening the gas ballast port outside the pump allows the ballast gas to flow into the exhaust gas channel inside the pump.
Gas ballast does not work effectively if the temperature of the pump is low, so the pump needs to be warmed up for at least an hour before allowing condensable gases into the pump.
