Multi-stage type
A structure in which liquid that has entered a pump passes through an impeller two or more times in series. Depending on the number of times liquid passes through the impeller, the structure may also be called "2-stage", "3-stage", etc. (Source: JIS B 0131, Item 3)
A structure in which two or more impellers are coaxially mounted in order to obtain high head.
