Work responsibilities

By introducing new technologies such as machine learning, AI, and ICT, I am developing technologies to improve the quality and competitiveness of EBARA’s products and services. More specifically, I am working with EBARA and our partners to develop automation and efficiency improvements in the operation of waste incineration facilities. When introducing new technologies, there are various hurdles in the process of refining the technology to the point where the people in the departments using it are satisfied. But we have received valuable feedback from users about the technology, which makes it very rewarding.

Skill development and sharing expertise with other employees

We collect information on cutting-edge technologies, employ skill transfers, and use tools like generative AI through collaborations with our partners to study the skills necessary for machine learning and AI on a daily basis. And we work to acquire skills by providing output opportunities such as developing AI-related systems in-house. In addition, we are working to pass on knowledge about technologies to development team members so that this does not become dependent on individuals.

Future goals & message to young people

I would like to create a future waste incineration facility that includes considerations toward the working environment. I believe that being able to apply and put into practice new technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data science on our own in large-scale fields such as waste incineration facilities is a major appeal point. My goal is to contribute to creating a better future by solving social issues related to waste, resources, and energy together with those who share the same goals.
