GHG emission reduction targets in the value chain
Scope1,2
2030 target: 55% reduction compared to 2018 (1.5°C level)*
*The reduction target is consistent with the 1.5℃ level target of the Paris Agreement. Submitted in June 2024 a commitment letter declaring acquisition of SBT certification (short-term target) within two years

*1. Revision of the scope of calculation of emission sources. Entry of group companies that have not been included in the calculation retroactively to the base year (2018).
*2. M& Addition of target companies by A, etc., retroactively to the base year (2018).
*3. Based on the above-mentioned revision of emissions, the target is to maintain a 55% reduction compared to the base year (2018).
Efforts to Reduce Emissions
- Promote efficient energy use and energy conservation
- Renew energy-consuming facilities at appropriate times
- Expand fuel electrification and procurement of renewable energy electricity
- Expand introduction of solar power generation facilities
- Switch to alternative CFCs

Internal Carbon Pricing (ICP)
The ICP price is set at 10,000 yen/t-CO₂ and is used as an indicator of the unit price of the environmental value related to the procurement of renewable electricity.
Scope 3 (category 11)
2030 target: 25% reduction from 2021 (WB2°C level)*
*Set reduction targets for 2030 for Category 11, which accounts for 90% of all Scope 3.
*The reduction targets are consistent with Well Below2 Celsius target of the Paris Agreement. Submitted in June 2024 a commitment letter declaring acquisition of SBT certification (short-term target) within two years

Efforts to Reduce Emissions
- Increase the efficiency of our products
- Promote customer and supplier engagement
- Introduce milk runs when procuring parts
Customers' goal of contributing to GHG reductions
1. 2030 target: reduction contribution (see WBCSD Guidance) 43 million tons reduction
Cumulative amount of CO₂ equivalent that can be reduced by our target products sold from 2023 to 2030 during the product life period
WBCSD Guidance on Avoided Emissions Requirements
- Published SBTs for Scope 1, 2, and 3
- Not directly applicable to activities involving exploration, mining, and/or production, distribution, or sale of fossil fuels
- Indicate differences from reference scenario

Target products and services
- Energy-efficient building and industrial equipment (pumps)
- High efficiency through modification of fluid machinery such as compressors & turbines (engineered services)
- Highly efficient water pumping systems for water supply and agriculture
- Waste power generation
- Biomass power generation
2. 2030 target: GHG reductions 100 million tons reduction
Cumulative CO₂ equivalent products sold during 2023-2030 according to our definition that can be reduced during product life:
GHG reduction conditions as defined by us
- LNG plants can save energy by using our products.
- Semiconductor manufacturing processes can use our products to decompose and remove PFCs gases, which have high global warming potential, without burning fossil fuels.

Target products and services
3. To create businesses that support the realization of a carbon-neutral society
by developing and providing products and services that contribute to reducing GHG emissions, such as hydrogen and ammonia, to support the realization of a carbon-neutral society
