EBARA is currently developing liquid Hydrogen pumps as a new business venture. In the process, testing facilities are required to accurately confirm that the products developed have sufficient performance and meet the standards set by us. It is my job to consider how to proceed and plan for the test facility from construction to operation. Originally, EBARA owned an LNG/LPG facility, where I also worked on practical projects. LNG/LPG and liquid Hydrogen have similarities, such as the need for cryogenic environments. I thought I could use my experience, so I put my hand up and joined the Hydrogen business.

It is a pleasure to be involved in a new business that EBARA has launched on a large scale. And I think it's a really valuable experience to be involved in building a Hydrogen pump test facility on a scale that doesn't exist in the world yet. As this is an unprecedented facility, a number of considerations arise. Not that anyone has the answer. We are in a situation where we are trying to figure out the right answer on our own, or we are trying to find the answer by groping around with people involved. We are in a situation where we are facing a question that has no answers. Safety is your top priority, and you've been working with members of your workplace to consider it from a variety of perspectives.

The attention to Hydrogen has exceeded expectations. And I want to do my best to make sure this company is at the center of the Hydrogen infrastructure. EBARA was the first company in the world to develop a liquid Hydrogen booster pump, so we want to stay at the forefront. And so we want to build the infrastructure for a Hydrogen society, and we want to build a future where this resource is used in a variety of areas. EBARA hopes to lead the way in developing Hydrogen-related testing facilities both domestically and internationally.
